To my knowledge, there has been no systematic study of virtual worlds used as participatory media for collective action, and their effectiveness as such. The above therefore cites use cases without conjecturing about their effectiveness. As studies emerge, however, I hope users of this online guidebook will contribute references and discuss the effectiveness virtual worlds as pmca. Do you find this valuable?
